GEOCELL

Geocells are cellular containment honeycomb-like systems made of strong but light-weight ultrasonically welded High-Density Polyethelene strips that are expanded at the site to be filled non-cohesive granular materials to serve a number of functions including soil stabilization, slope protection, retaining walls, and erosion control. They are uniquely useful in the construction of roads in sandy desert areas.

Geocells comes in various sizes and the durability of the geocell structures very much depends on the quality of the geocell materials and welding, the appropriate selection of the geocell, design, and the standard of the construction.
